About my experience
Another unexpected journey began simultaneously with my other product experience projects in ESCRIBA. As the sole designer in a 25-year-old enterprise, I realized the critical need for a design system. Unlike building one for a startup, this project demanded a deep understanding of the company's legacy, diverse product lines, and resistance to change. Navigating these complexities has been a rewarding experience. It’s pushed me beyond traditional design roles, requiring strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and perseverance.
THE CHALLENGE
Every new project felt like starting from scratch. We were constantly rebuilding the same components, each with slightly different styles and functionalities
The project is still in progress, and I can't share many designs yet since it's not an open-source system.
